National Night Out
August 7, 2018

WKLK/WMOZ's Kerry Rodd and Bill Effinger were on hand August 7th, 2018 at Veteran's Park in Cloquet. The two broadcast live from "National Night Out," an event organized by several groups, including the Cloquet Police Department, Cloquet Area Fire District and WKLK/WMOZ Radio. Event organizers estimate over 1,000 people were served burgers and hot dogs, while neighbors met with other neighbors and local law enforcement for a great night out in the community to enjoy conversation, games, prize giveaways, activities and much more!


Sillies on the Sidewalk
March 20, 2018

As part of March's Foodshare Month to help re-stock area food shelves, WKLK and WMOZ took to the streets on Tuesday, March 20th for the Annual "Sillies on the Sidewalk" campaign (formerly "Goofs on the Roof"). Jake and Kerry from the A-Squad took in food and monetary donations from generous listeners during the morning show in Cloquet, while Dwight Cadwell broadcast "LIVE" from Marketplace Foods in Moose Lake, taking in donations there. In all, around nearly $3,000 and pounds of food was gathered to help the Salvation Army Food Shelf in Cloquet, the Moose Lake Food Shelf and the Tri-Community Food Shelf in Cromwell.

Moose Lake Community School Opening
August 31, 2017

WMOZ was on hand to celebrate the grand opening of the brand-new Moose Lake Community School on August 31st! The event unveiled the new $34.7 million dollar building to the community with a ribbon cutting, tours of the new school and lots of food!


2017 Carlton County Fair
August 18 - 20, 2017

WKLK/WMOZ was "LIVE" from the 127th Carlton County Fair all weekend long! "Bling's the Thing in 2017" was the theme of the fair, which attracted so many events and attractions, including 4-H projects and animals, horse racing, auto shows, an out-of-town equestrian show with acrobatics, great food, a carnival, a talent show and so many other great moments to remember!
